- THE 'RED TOP' 16V — The 2-litre DOHC 16-valve GTE, not the earlier 8-valve car.
- UNCOMMON REMBRANDT SILVER — Corgi models the real car in the rarer colour it was first registered in.
- EX-FLEET, CONCOURS-RESTORED — A 1990 Vauxhall Fleet Management car, rebuilt over three years by a former Vauxhall employee.
Description
Description
Rembrandt Silver was an uncommon colour on the Astra GTE 16V, and Corgi's Vanguards 1:43 model is taken from a real 1990 car finished in it, with a sunroof and light retrimmed leather interior.
The real car carries the 2-litre DOHC 16-valve 'red top' engine and GM's Liquid Crystal Display dashboard, and was restored to concours standard.
For a 1980s hot hatch shelf, it pairs with Corgi's Carmine Red GTE 16V for a two-colour Astra display.

Era describes when this item itself was printed, produced or manufactured—not the age of what it depicts. A brand-new item can still represent a vintage or classic design; where shown, check Represented Era for that distinction.
Represented Era describes the real-world period of the character, vehicle or subject this item depicts—not when the item itself was made. A modern release can represent a vintage or classic design; where shown, check Era for when this specific item was produced.
Scale compares the model's size to the real object. A larger second number means a smaller model—for example, 1:64 is smaller than 1:18. Check the listed dimensions for the exact size of the model.
At 1:43, 1 cm on this model stands for 43 cm on the real thing.
